We recently partnered with Nice Kicks Austin, a local sneaker store, to bring some joy and comfort to the children at the settlement home in Austin. The settlement home is a safe haven for victims of child abuse, neglect, and trauma. These children have endured unimaginable hardships and deserve all the love and support we can give them.

That's why we decided to use some of our funds to buy 50 new pairs of sneakers for them. We know that a pair of shoes may not seem like much, but for these kids, it can make a huge difference. A new pair of sneakers can boost their self-esteem, make them feel valued, and give them a sense of belonging. It can also help them express their personality and style, something that they may not have had the opportunity to do before.

We are so grateful to Nice Kicks Austin for their generosity and collaboration. They offered us a great discount and helped us pick out the best sneakers for each child. They truly went above and beyond to make this project a success.

We delivered the sneakers to the settlement home this spring and we were overwhelmed by the children's reactions. They were so happy and excited to receive their new shoes. They tried them on, showed them off, and offered profuse thanks.
